What is “Learn, Play, Connect, Celebrate”?

Learn, Play, Connect, Celebrate is the motto of the Community Cup. It is what we hope happens to everyone, every time they attend one of our events!
Why do we do it?

We value that all people are equal and deserve the same opportunities and freedoms. The Community Cup helps create open communities, that are welcoming and embrace newcomers. It also provides networking opportunities and welcoming communities for newcomers.

When is the Community Cup Event?
The Community Cup Event is held the last Sunday in June before Canada Day as part of the Celebrations in the Nation’s Capital, also close to Canadian Multiculturalism Day, this year it is on JUNE 28th!

It runs from 9am until 5pm and is jam packed with great events and activities.
Where is the Community Cup Event?

The Community Cup Event is held at Brewer Park, 100 Brewer Way in Ottawa. It is a great location, in a city park, close to OC Transpo Bus Routes.
What can I expect?

You can expect a lot. Fun for all ages, sports (soccer tournament, sport demonstrations and sports for the kids), Cultural entertainment, great food and lots of community organizations

A multicultural atmosphere: The Community Cup is an event that facilitates newcomer integration by creating welcoming communities. This is done through sport and volunteerism. The result is a unique and engaging community event with many opportunities for all to experience.

Why Soccer?
It is the most international sport there is, anyone can play and it speaks every language. Soccer opens doors to newcomers as they play and connect with Canadians.
