Voies vers la prospérité: Canada

Entre-lacés est un collectif des chercheuses et chercheurs constitué en 2013 avec la finalité d’étudier les réseaux transnationaux tissés par les immigrants dans une perspective comparative nord-sud ainsi qu’interdisciplinaire. Les participantes et participants sont des académiques reconnus dans leur champ d’intérêt ainsi que des étudiantes du doctorat qui travaillent dans des institutions éducatives de l’Amérique latine (Argentine, Colombie, Chile, Mexique, Pérou), du Canada, de la Suisse, du Maroc et  de l’Espagne. Leur programme de travail 2013-2014 est financé par le Conseil de recherches en Sciences humaines (CRSH) du gouvernement canadien, avec l’apport des universités et le soutien du réseau VVP.

Les objectifs du colloque sont la diffusion de la recherche entre divers acteurs publics canadiens (décideurs des politiques publiques migratoires, fonctionnaires gouvernementaux, avocats, membres des ONG, académiques, étudiants), ainsi qu’une méta-analyse des résultats des recherches récentes sur les mouvements de population sud-nord et leurs retombées sur les identités, la citoyenneté et les droits. L’originalité de cette démarche est d’articuler les points de vue du nord et du sud tant sur le plan épistémologique que politique et social.

Le colloque aura lieu au Campus Longueuil (Montréal) de l’Université de Sherbrooke le 8 mai, 2014 de 9h30 à 17h00. L’évènement est gratuit mais l’inscription est obligatoire à reseauentraleces@outlook.com  Places limitées.

Transnational family networks, family dynamics, rights and citizenship 

Entre-lacés is a group of researchers formed in 2013 with the purpose of studying transnational networks built by immigrants from north to south and from interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives. Women and men who integrate this network are academic recognized in their field of interest as well as doctoral students working in educational institutions in Latin America (Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru), Canada, Switzerland, Morocco and Spain. Its working program 2013-2014 is funded by the Research Council on Social Sciences (SSHRC) of the Canadian government, with the contribution of universities and the collaboration of P2P.

The objectives of the conference are the dissemination of research between various Canadian public actors (stakeholders in migration policy, government officials, lawyers, members of NGOs, academics, students), and to present a meta-analysis of the results of recent research on population movements from south to north, and their impact on identity, citizenship and rights. The originality of the project is to articulate the point of view of south and north on different levels: epistemological, political and social.
